Post subject: Whispers

I given alot of thought as to what the whispers are and where they come from. I had thought for a long time that the whispers where voices from the past and future due to the islands movement with time.
But after further viewing of what happens around the time when the whispers occur my theory is that the island has door ways or port holes. When opened voices from the other side are heard.
This would explain why the others can appear and disappear into thin air. Each time one of the door ways are opened voices or whispers from the other side can be heard. These voices are distored because of the port hole and sounds like whispers. Some examples are:
1. The appearing and reappearing of Walt. Walt did appear as soaking wet but couldnt talk because he was being held captive. Remember he would be wet he had been just taken from the raft. I think he found or saw the door way tryed to leave but couldnt. These door ways have only a small window in which to come and go. Walt does have special abilities which may be why he was able to find the door in the first place.
2. Harper (Goodwins wife) is a great example of the door way. She came in with whispers to dilver a message to Juliet and left with the whispers just as quickly.
3. I think the others used these door ways to kidnap the people from the tail section. AnnaLucia stated they left no trail. They came and went as if to dissappear in thin air.
4. The abduction of Cindy the whispers where heard Cindy was gone. They where right next to a door way.
These doors are hidden and cannot be seen by just anyone you have to know what you are looking for. I think the jungle camos them. Notice how the whispers are ONLY heard in the jungle. Another thing to consider is in order for the others to use these doors they need help from Richard. Richard of course is special. Jacob had to chose he for some reason. Walt is the only one, as far as we know that is special similiar to Richard. _________________ Who controls the past controls the future: who controls the present controls the past. |
