Writers Reach a Tentative Agreement...
As per Ain't It Cool News ( http://www.aintitcool.com/node/35557 ). I wonder if they'll be able to finish out the season on time or at least this year?

I do think that they will be a little ickle break in the season, but I would hope and expect that the season would be shown by the end of Summer. Welcome Sancho by the way, hope you enjoy discussing every thing Lost!

I heard/read somewhere, possibly here, that there are 4-6 more episodes that they could do before the season ended. Hopefully, though, they can finish out the rest of the eight episodes left.

A writer for the TV Guide said something about 6 more episodes in an article this week. I'm assuming it's because of other commitments that the cast would have that they wouldn't be able to film those 2 extra eps. But, hey...6 more is better than 0 more.

From Dark UFO: Executive Producer Damon Lindelof Says: "Indeed, it would appear that we are in the endgame of the strike. Personally, I couldn't be more psyched to be part of this union. Like any negotiation, some parts suck and some parts surpassed my wildest expectations for what we could accomplish, but most of all I'm left with a feeling of pride. "As for Lost (pending the actual lifting of the strike, which we vote for on Tuesday), a game plan should begin to manifest by the end of the week. All I can say is that Carlton and I and the rest of the writers have every intention of making sure you guys get more episodes this season beyond the eight already completed. How many and how they will be aired is a conversation we'll be having with our bosses, but as soon as we've got a plan, we'll tell the fans first." What We're Hearing: Lost's actors are on standby, and the show is expected to produce more episodes this season. Fingers crossed! The bigger question is who'll keep the golden Thursday at 9 p.m. time slot once those Seattle Grace docs also return...How 'bout we put Sawyer and McDreamy in a cage and let 'em duke it out? ('Cause we know who'd win...) Source: E!Online

I just read that Carlton Cuse said there would be 13 this season on 19 next season with condensed story lines for the episodes yet to be filmed. Also i was looking at a list of shows that we're coming back since the strike is over and I didn't see Cane anywhere on the list. Does anyone know if Cane is coming back or not because if it doesn't then maybe we'll get Richard back.

And Lindelhof said that he sees no reason why they couldn't do 16...Now they're just toying with us in REAL LIFE, too! =P

I read in today's paper that they don't expect Cane to be back, so hopefully spooky, ageless Richard will be all ours

The writer's strike is officially over! The writers have gone back to work and we should start seeing new episodes of a lot of the shows we've been missing appear around April/May, maybe March if we're really, super lucky. tvguide.com has a list up of what's coming back when.
