I'm starting to like Tom. Loved the sceen in the operating room in 3.07 when he needed to be Dr Tom! I think he and Jack will end up on the same side.

many are questioning on the ABC board....what side DOES Tom butter his toast on? :wink:

Yeah, I've seen that. I think he's straight. Just because he told Kate that she isn't his type doesn't mean he's gay. Plus he does appear to be a little old for the females they've shown us (except Rose and the woman from the book club). I wouldn't be surprised to see a Mrs Tom back in Otherville.

Maybe jack came because Tom wanted him. eew, but ha ha.

"You're not my type" Maybe meant non-criminal? Anybody notice that when he went to get the walkie talkie for Jack, he walked like Barney the Dinosaur?

Now I've calmed down a bit - that CRACKED me up.. was wondering how I could describe it ... seriously though I think there probably is a Mrs. T around somewhere. Tom strikes me as the most loyal soldier you could wish for as long as you 'did the right thing and didn't overstepped your boundaries' When he said to Jack "I'm Tom, by the way" I mean he seems old school polite as in - we may be on diff sides at the min but theres no need to be rude about it !!

Yes, I get you. He has always struck me as a 'freindly' other, while all the rest (including lil miss Juliet) have hidden agendas. Also: I think there probably is a Mrs. T around somewhere. That's Mr T :laugh:

:lol: PITY THE FOOL! No but seriously I cant seem to figure Tom out. I left it so long to see if there was any clue to him all season but none. I agree with one of the above posts where Tom seems to be old school and a loyal soldier but that didnt ring true this week when he refused to step in between Locke and Mikial, ignoring Bens orders. Did Ben bring Tom to the island or Richard? Plus no matter what seems to happen on the island he seems to be the most laid back, take it easy guys there. Any thoughts? :mrgreen:

He is very calm but I think he will step up when he needs to. I think he bonded with Jack and I really hope he switches to the Losties side in any conflict. I loved that scene when Tom and Richard just stood there looking at Ben. Tom with his coffee cup pretending not to notice anything cracked me up!

Well if the spoilers I`ve read are anything to go by, I think we will find out but it wont last long.... :cry: I really want to see a Tom flashback to see what skills they brought him there for.... I`m almost certain he isnt a doctor/surgeon/vet...anything medical He seems more like construction/labourer
