Happy Not-Lost Eve! Hope you all have a terrific Tuesday! Tonight, I am going to watch some Season 1 Lou is right, we need to get this going so LA isn't such a ghost town. I apologize for the slack on my end. Beth-Good to see you!

Lost in Claire- 06-05-2007

I am back people, internet decided to be my friend (and my signature is working for once!) I agree with above, we should all watch the previous episodes and have a group flashback! I personally have watched the first 3 episodes, so I might watch episode 4 tonight:) edit, has anyone seen the London Olympics logo? :yuck:

Sawyers Sidekick- 06-05-2007

Yeah I seen the logo this morning, it's all GMTV could talk about! lol I personally like it because it's something different! Do You?

Lost in Claire- 06-05-2007

No, I no like. Its too different from the rest of the logos, and when seeing it for the first time, it is hard to make out the 2012. To be honest, we can't hold a good olympics never mind a good logo for it

Hi everyone! I've been gone for a while due to the fact that I just started my job. I'm an assistant teacher at a drama camp and in charge of the after-care program at the same camp. My children are 3-5 in the morning and 6-10 or 11 in the afternoon. Does anyone know any good indoor games that don't involve a lot of running or being blindfolded or other dangerous components? I've nearly run out of my store of safe childhood games. And there are small boys who only like to run around, make a lot of noise, and rip stuff... :help:

Does anyone know any good indoor games that don't involve a lot of running or being blindfolded or other dangerous components? A Television  But seriously, I can't think of any games that don't involve running that I played when I was a knipper.. :?

Happy Lost day everyone (Wed. will always be Lost day). I have finished my grades :cheer: :cheer: One more day with the munchkins, then clerical day Friday, and I shall be free! Sorry rosered,I don't know any games for the little'uns I only know boring stuff for the big'uns(vocabulary bingo, football trivia-educational stuff).Trust me, the big boys like to run around, make noise, and rip stuff too. LiC I'm not real keen on the Olympics logo myself.I read in the news today that an animated version of it had to be discontinued because it was giving people with epilepsy ,seizures. The new job sounds cool even if it is a steppingstone, at last it will keep you in coin. :)

Hello friendly people of the internets! And Hi to the unfriendly  My day started fine, just surfing the net, when I get a phonecall from school telling me to come in and hand the rest of my art work (which was one sheet of paper.) So I just spent an hour handing in a peice of paper, before walking home with a black cat walking beside me... Today is wierd :nerd:

lou'slost- 06-09-2007

Happy Saturday everyone, beautiful day here today after some nasty storms yesterday-75 degrees and low humidity, I could take this for the rest of the Summer.I spent my first day of vacation getting a haircut and taking a ton of books to to the Church for their festival and flea market. My goal for the summer is pitch and purge!I put out 6 boxes of records the other day, don't know if they went with the trash or the local scavengers took them, but either way, they're gone.I probably should've pitched more but it's hard to part with some of the oldies (I NEED my old John Denver LPS,don't I?) Hope everyone is having a productive and/or fun weekend. Lou

Hello all! My, summer has been so busy! Kids get out of school everyone needs a babysitter. My little daycare has grown a little more. I am busy each weekday with munchkins and munchkins activities..... ages 18 months to 9 years. Rosered- unfortunately boys "of all ages" like to jump around and rip things up I have 3 of my own. My advice is to get their attention. Kids will try to run you if you let them. Your the boss, find a balance between authority and having fun. Make sure you put a line that can not be crossed. Time outs work best 1 minute per year of age. Dont forget to praise when they do something correct or right. Kids love attention! Weather it is postive or negitive. If they cant get one they will try for the other. As far as games goes depending on personality and age some suggestions are: 1.Age appropriate board games such as monople junior, memory game, scrabble junior, sorry, card games. (if you dont have access to board games you can make you own memory game out of card board or card stock paper for the 3-5 year olds. Than for 6-10 you could make bingo cards (play bingo) the winner get to call the next game. 2.A fun game to play is "hot and cold" you hide an item (with out the kids watching) such as a button or small toy. than you have the kids look for the item when they get close you say so and so (childs name) you are hot meaning the item is close by. Or warm if close but not real close. Cold if far away. The one who finds the button or item first is the next hider of that item. (make it easy for 3-5 harder for ages 6-10) 3. Little and big kids love building blocks and legos (all but 3-5 works great) 4. Charades or pictionary (best for ages 6-10) 5. Simon says great for 6-10 Depending on how many kids you have at one time you may need to break them up into smaller groups. Hope this helps Rosered. Feel free to ask any questions. :) Well hubby and kids want food, need to go and feed the crew! post with you all later!
