Lost: The Video Game (Via Domus) This thread is for the video game of Lost, and any news that comes in about it.
Lost (working title) is a video game under production based on the television series Lost scheduled to be released in 2007.
On 22 May 2006, Ubisoft announced that they had licensed the rights from Touchstone Television to create a video game based on Lost planned for release in 2007.<1> The game will be different from the TV series as Ubisoft will add extra missions and stories that are not in the TV series to expand the amount of playable content.

How Will LOST Fans Pass the Time?
In just seven weeks LOST will end its third season with a two hour finale that promises to deliver the series' biggest twists and turns ever. The bad news is, LOST fans will be waiting as many as nine months for new material to follow. Will a fan base as demanding for input as the LOST crowd seems to be, nine months might as well be an eternity. What, if anything, does ABC have planned to keep LOST fans interested?
After the critical lashing of last year's 'The Lost Experience', it would appear that ABC is not considering venturing into the online game category. This doesn't mean that LOST fans won't have anything to keep them busy, however.
For one thing, there is UBISoft's LOST video game, scheduled for release in mid 2007. The game is built around Ubisoft's famous first person shooter technology and will allow players to experience first hand some of the shows more famous locations, as well as explore never before seen areas of the island. There is no solid confirmation of what the plot of the game will be, but Executive Producer Carlton Cuse told us early last month that the game would in no way infringe upon the story line of the show.
For those who just want another look, there is the LOST Season Three DVD set which will be released in late September. LOST has become quite well known for producing intriguing boxed sets for its earlier seasons, and Season Three should be no exception. The typical deleted scenes, behind the scenes footage, and blooper reels will be included, as well as a sneak peek at the fore mentioned video game.

Its strange how theres no previews or even release dates on most of the big gaming sites. Are you sure it wasnt canceled?
Lost in Claire- 04-12-2007
Nope, that was from recently that I gather.
Also, it says the S3 DVD will have a sneak peak, so they will release stuff then.
Damo- 04-12-2007
Ya they normaly release these type games when the tv season is over to maximise sales but normally most of the big sites have information on titles being released in all of 07 and some in 08 strange but I`ll take your word for it You had more sucess getting info on it than me
I`ll look forward to some info when you get it
Just hope its not a bad rushed game like other tv titles, sopranos,24 to name a couple

LOST Game Demoed to Show's Creators
Game further along and cooler than we might expect.
There have been vague rumblings about a LOST video game (based off the popular ABC TV show) in the works from Ubisoft for about a year now, but if you're looking for screenshots, videos, demos... hell, any specific information about the game at all, you're probably better off wrestling a polar bear. Ubisoft has been very tight-lipped about the project. Of course with such a large and decidedly picky fanbase to please, can you blame Ubisoft for not wanting to say much yet? Last week's episode of the Official Lost Podcast eked out a few tiny snippets of info for hungry fans.
Executive producers of LOST (and podcast hosts) Carlton Cuse and Damon Lindelof were asked by a fan about the Xbox 360 version of the game. The two jovial gentlemen were quick to point out that the game would also be available for the PS3 and PC. They went on to say that the Ubisoft Montreal team working on the game came to the Lost studios and demoed the game for them recently -- so it must be further along than we might have expected. Carlton stressed that it will "actually be a really cool game" and Damon agreed with one exception: "Not as cool as Galaga, but what is?"
Hopefully Ubisoft will begin dropping more information soon, because currently its like being stuck in the desert without any water... or, uh, on an abandoned tropical island with a smoke monster, I guess. I'm not sure what to demand from Ubisoft first: an insult-flinging mini-game for Sawyer or an extreme wheelchair flashback segment for Locke.

In a recent interview for Lost the Official Magazine Co-Creator/Executive Producer DAMON LINDELOF is asked some questions for the "Pearls of Wisdom" section. One of those questions read:
"Q:How is the Lost vidoegame looking from what you've seen?
(John Bayer)
A:From what I've seen? RIDICULOUSLY AWESOME."

Forget all of those rumors about Ubisoft’s Lost game being shelved, word came today that the closely guarded game will finally make its first live appearance at the San Diego Comic Con Lost panel later this month. Besides giving fans a peek at the elusive game, the Lost creators and cast will be on hand to discuss the upcoming season three Dvd box set, season four of Lost, and yes, even the much anticipated series finale.
Here is what we know about the Lost game. Even though it is based on the Crytek engine popularized by the first person shooter “Far Cry,” the Lost video game is not a shooter. There may be some limited gun play scattered throughout the game, but the idea is to capture the feel of solving the islands mysteries.
The game is based on material sanctioned by Lost creators Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse, but written by Dawn Kelly who was a writer’s assitant at Lost labs and co-wrote the episode “Maternity Leave.” The game is rumored to be a self-contained story that does not relate to the event of the series.
The preview of the Season Three DVD set will focus mostly on the extras, naturally. So we will finally know why it is dubbed “The Unexplored Edition.” According to the Comic-Con official schedule, some chunks from the DVD sets extras may be shown to the attending audience.
Talk of season four is where fans will really glow. Typically, the Lost crew has been pretty revealing when it comes to talking about the forthcoming season. Expect lots of vague info and perhaps some questions as to how the chronological aspects of the season are going to play.
Of course, the crowning moment comes at the end of the panel when the Lost crew takes questions from the audience. This can often be an unpredictable time given Lost fans’ outspoken natures.
The Lost Season 4 panel will take place on Thursday, July 26 at 5pm in Ballroom 20, at the San Diego Comic-Con.

>Trailer to the Lost Video Game<
I am impressed by the graphics, most of the time movie or tv show tie in games are poorly animated etc, but this impressed me. And baring in mind this is the first trailer, it will get better as it comes along.
