Do you care??
Its been said that everything that happens on Lost can be explained by Science or psuedo-science (sp?) After last nights episode it seems the show seems to leaning more towards the sci-fi angle.

I voted Depends.. If they can explain 90% of the stuff, with good common sense (the island's healing stuff for example) then I wouldnt mind as much if Lost made its own science up to cover it (smokey for example)

I voted depends, because I've already accepted that Smokey may not be able to be explained... But.. I have a feeling I'm not going to like the whole Jacob thing. I'm hoping it was the usual Others smoke and mirrors stuff.

Surprise! I said yes. There will be an explaination for everything we just don't know yet what it is. Things that seemed mystical before have been shown to have a simple answer. Psuedo-science can cover a lot of ground but as long as it is something that has possiblity I'll be ok with it. I agree Lou! No aliens! No clones either!

I voted yes, too. I agree that things I used to think could not be explained logicly on the show have turned out to be quite logical and simple, so I'm hoping that TPTB keep it simple in the end and we all have a big "oh I get it!" moment.

I said depends. As long as they don't go too far out there with the science-y bizarre stuff (I'm with lou on the space alien thing) than I'm fine. I actually kind of like the not everything being explained by science thing because there is a lot of stuff out there that science is still unable to explain.

I voted depends I am open minded. But I like to have explainations. I feel most things can be explained but facts are needed. Even if the facts are not what I like or think things should be. My aim is looking for facts and evidents to prove these facts. Good or Bad. On the other hand I grew up watching scifi nothing is impossible. As far as Aliens go... :laugh: that just adds to the mix of things. I use to watch the outerlimits and the xfiles all the time. Imagination is the heart of scifi, with out it we would not have the advances we have today. Star Trek gave the idea for many modern day technology we have. The universe is a big place it would be a waste of space if we are the only ones here. Please I am not a UFO freak, but the possibilty of extra-terresteral life does not bother me. I am not saying that LOST is or is not this. :geeky: What I like most about LOST is the mystery.

I really dont care. IMO, it has been super-natural from the beginning. Smokie itself is impossible. Even if it were to be explained by nano bots, and running on a track, wouldnt explain how its able to manuver up and down, and take the shape of other objects. They even allude to some of this, especially season 1, when Sayid says "You think it makes sense that were even alive, without any scratches" (not exact words). The bottom line, the island heals people. I dont care where your located on earth, thats impossible. You take a bullet to the stomach, your insides are torn, an island cant heal you (even with magnetic proporties). Same goes with taking the impact of being thrown out of a plane. Most dont survive something like that, let a lone 40+. Jacob, pretty much to me was the nail in the coffin. Plus the fact that the producers always go to the Sci Fi conventions to promote LOST and answer questions always led me to believe it was just that. Personally, I think some people are going to be dissapointed when they find out it all wont make sense, and would be realistic (in the terms of proving it scientifically). Of course, maybe I'm wrong. Either way, I love the show whether its realistic or sci fi. Just me though.
